Abbey Sobelman is a fourth-year student at Northern Arizona University pursuing dual degrees in communication studies and journalism with a minor in public relations. She is assistant copy editor of The Lumberjack, social media manager of KJACK Radio, co-founder of PLETHORA magazine and a communications and social media assistant for NAU's Advancement Foundation.
As a journalist, Abbey is passionate about authentic storytelling that reflects creativity, accuracy and connection. She has hands-on experience in multimedia journalism, copy editing, social media strategy and content creation and her writing portfolio includes a diverse selection of lifestyle features, reviews, news briefs and social media copy.
In her free time, Abbey can be found at a concert, in the local cinema or traveling. She has visited 31 states, 16 countries and 3 continents and studied abroad three times.
Abbey aspires to build a career that blends her love for music, film, writing and travel into meaningful, audience-driven communication.
